This is a picture of Ed Kemper. He was a known serial killer from Santa Cruz, Cali. He raped his victims then killed them and did other horrible things. This reminds me of the serial killer unit because Ed Kemper was the serial killer my partner and I picked for our presentation.

What is the difference between a murderer and a serial killer? A murder is someone who kills less than three people or only commits one murder. A serial killer is someone who commits three or more murders, which have been spaced out possibly weeks, months, or years apart and a specific weapon or method of killing is used.
What is Forensic Psychology and how is the study of Serial Killers related to it? Forensic psychology is the science behind how someone thinks and how their actions match their thoughts. The study of serial killers is related to this because it is practically the same thing, studying a serial killer is digging into their minds and seeing what makes them commit the horrible acts they do.

In your opinion, what if the difference between “bad” and “evil”? Why are some people evil? Bad is something that someone can do and recover from it and go on with their lives, but if someone is truly evil they consistently makes bad actions and decisions and can be deemed evil.
Reflection: My thoughts at the beginning of the unit were that this aught to be interesting because learning about serial killers will be horrifying but interesting. At the end of the unit I thought that it was very interesting to learn about different killers and what bad things they did and how really messed up some can be. I am left wondering what happens in the brain to make these people get impulses to make a physical decision to harm another human or kill them.
